Wrath of Thor

Wrath of Thor
an island winterland reprise 8 or so more inches of snow after the thaw.

winter/spring storm Thor came through with flooding and at least 8 more inches of snow.  the nearly month long sub freezing weather final broke for a day or 2.  just long enough to thaw, rain, freeze and snow 8 more inches.

as the ground thawing and rain started - flood threat day 1 gazebo dam
flood threat day 2 gazebo dam
flood threat day 4 gazebo dam
top of the island. rock path to the fire pit is under water
the island is high an dry at peak flooding
parcel & valerian bed
lower island bridge
Danger Zone: our garden waterfall has undercut 1 of the raised beds a little. The water flow is now being directed away from the erosion and hopefully the bed will hang in there until we pack some more dirt under it.
flood threat day 5 gazebo dam
a creek dam holding strong
trapeze
path to the Teepee
the upper dam seems to have had a blow out toward the bottom. It's holding a fraction of the water that it should be. I think a small pond liner may solve the problem.

next week it's suppose to be warm enough to get outside and hopefully it won't be raining much.

garden projects will be shifting into high gear.
initial list:  assemble the 20 by 36 greenhouse; put electric fence around it; build several terraced raised garden beds; start the lettuce / spinach / kale / leeks / broccoli; install new electrical BusGrades and insulate the space, prune and fertilize fruit trees; build a rocket stove for greenhouse, creek dam maintenance & build a vertical self watering 54 plant lettuce tower. ... all that before we really get into the gardening... ;~)
